    [DIV] Shortcut keys & Other Useful things

    Now I know most of you have already figured this out, but hey, I'm not afraid to stick my hand up and say "that, right there, is good to know and I wish I had know that yesterday."

    Now I knew to hold G down to select (with difficulty) a new type grenade, about holding V down to select a food / drink / bullet item and even about the shortcut ALT+1 and ALT+2 (coz, thankfully, Dro told me), but I just never really made optimum use of all of that stuff and didn't really grasp what the food and drink can do for you! (apart from giving it to people in the street and receiving sweet threads!).

    So here, in a quick summary, is what I now know I have been missing out on (and some of you may have been as well).

    Hotkey Item Description

    • ALT+1 Incendiary ammo Incendiary Bullets have a chance to light a target on fire. The effect lasts 30 seconds.
    • ALT+2 Explosive ammo Explosive Bullets have a chance to deal area of effect damage.
    • ALT+3 Drink soda Soda reduces all skill cooldowns by 30%. This effect lasts 30 seconds.
    • ALT+4 Drink water Water increases all damage dealt to elite enemies by 20%. The effect lasts 30 seconds.
    • ALT+5 Eat canned food Canned food increases healing effects on player by 40%. The effect lasts 30 seconds.
    • ALT+6 Eat energy bar Energy bar instantly removes all negative Status Effects on the player and protects the player from all Status Effects for 5 seconds.

    Hotkey Item Description
    • CTRL+1 Fragmentation grenade Fragmentation grenades deal high damage and have a chance to apply Bleed.
    • CTRL+2 Flashbang grenade Flashbang Grenades deal Blind-Deaf, which will temporarily impair the vision and hearing of any enemy caught in the blast.
    • CTRL+3 EMP grenade EMP grenades apply Disrupt, which will destroy any active skills caught in the blast. EMP grenades also prevent the affected enemies from deploying any new skills for a period of time.
    • CTRL+4 Tear gas grenade Tear Gas Grenades apply "Disoriented", which will temporarily impair the vision, as well as the accuracy, of any enemy caught in the blast.
    • CTRL+5 Shock grenade Shock grenades apply Shock, which will temporarily paralyze any enemy caught in the blast and also deal damage.
    • CTRL+6 Incendiary grenade Incendiary grenades release fire on detonation. This fire has a chance to apply Burn to any enemy caught in the blast.


    And you can of course rebind these to your own liking (or even use voice attack!)

    Ever wondered why at GS 195-196 your 2nd toon keeps entering DZ201+?

    Well, it turns out that your GS is calculated from:
    • Equipped Gear (Chest, Mask, Kneepads, Backpack, Gloves, and Holster)
    • Gear in your inventory (Chest, Mask, Kneepads, Backpack, Gloves, and Holster)
    • Gear in your Stash (Chest, Mask, Kneepads, Backpack, Gloves, and Holster)
    • The weapon you have with the highest Gear Score. This can be any weapon you have equipped, in your inventory, or in your Stash.

    This was done to stop highly geared people tricking the instance and allowing them to enter the GS161-200 DZ and then re-gear from their inventory and smash those who really are 161-200.

    keep in mind that these changes also come along with 229 Weapons
    • SMGs = Critical Hit Damage Bonus (Critical Hit Chance Goes Away)
    • Assault Rifles = +/-20% Armor Shred To PvE Targets Only
    • LMG = +/-30% more damage to ALL targets out of cover
    • Shotguns = +/- 200% Added Stagger To PvE targets only
    • Marksman Rifles = Keep Headshot Damage
