There's this guy (Boomsledge) who does an awesome job every week (around Wednesday), on reddit, to highlight what's hot and what's not at the vendors.
With limited time, I've kinda started relying on it, so I thought I would start a thread here to summarise his thoughts. His full thread is worth a read so I'll always link it, but I'll cut his TL;DR list into this thread and grab the snippets I think are worthy of repeating.
Boomsledge gets most of his info from the detail list here which is compiled weekly by a small dedicated team lead by rubenalamina and always linked in Boomsledge reddit thread if you want the full details.
FAMAS (58.35% base dmg, Deadly, Responsive and Uncomplicated) at BoO Vendor (upstairs, not at terminal). Buy one (or two for preferred tailoring)
Infantry MG5 (95.24% Base dmg, Determined, Destructive, Prepared) at The Grindhouse
MP7 (50.98% dmg and with Destructive, Self-Preserved and Ferocious) DZ West 42nd - <Smiff's notes - this is actually pretty meh>
Burst Fire MP-5 A4 (99.35% dmg, comes with Hurried, Destructive and Self-preserved) DZ 03 Safehouse - <Smiff's notes - best burst fire I've ever seen (but sadly burst fire is not my thing)>
Savage Gloves at BoO Gear Vendor for all purpose use. Worth buying 2 to 3 copies.
Savage Gloves at Camp Hudson Vendor for DeadEYE/Sniper users.
Performance Mod at Special Equipment Vendor with 6.0% First Aid self-heal
Exotique Spécial - see below
“Savage Gloves at BoO Gear Vendor. Great roll with good armor, CHC and CHD.….Must buy, it could replace quite a few pairs”. I know HoK(HealthOnKill) is a bad choice, but in 1.6 you'll have very little ways to regain health as First Aid has gotten a nerf. If you have to reroll, buy two OR even three of this so on one you can reroll the HoK and keep the other 2 gloves as is. Worth the buy.
Savage Gloves but for DeadEYE / Sniper users(like salt on wound from last week’s “balance”, huh?). It has Marksman Rifle DMG and CHD of 14% with Firearms rolled on. This’ll help you for your deadeye build and regular sniping(yes, we exist).
Buy ONE of every to be made exotic weapons from vendors and you should be good. These ones costs credits at the AdvWepsVendor
The following are 1248 BirdBux each
Liberator(this week, 52.22% base with 22 EAD, a good buy),
Historian(58.29% base with 162 HSD; good buy), and
Valkyria(50.55% base, 32 CHD, your call if you wanna buy or not)
